XP DHCP Client Setup

First make sure your drop is plugged into a hub.

In windows click on Start 

Then click on Settings

Click on Network Connections

Click on Local area connection

Click on Properties

Find the Entry called Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

Double click on it!

Make sure that Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically are checked.

At this point you may have to reboot your computer.

You may also issue a IP Renew command at a DOS prompt.

Then hit enter.
